Tripura CM Manik Saha inaugurates state’s first Block Public Health Unit in Khowai

Khowai (Tripura), Oct 06 (ANI): Tripura CM Manik Saha on October 05 inaugurated the state’s first Block Public Health Unit at Kalyanpur Community Health Centre in the Khowai district. It was built at a cost of Rs 22.17 lakh. “The first block public health unit of the state was inaugurated at Kalyanpur. Of the total 58 blocks, initiatives have been taken to launch public health units at 18 blocks. Such health units will be opened in the rest blocks in future,” he said after inaugurating the health unit. A block public health unit serves as a hub for referral from the primary health centres of a block.
