New Delhi, July 23 (ANI): Water level of Yamuna River is rising once again. On July 23, the water level was recorded at 205.81 m at Old Yamuna Bridge. The water level of Yamuna has been on a rise since July 22. The flood-affected people were shifted to relief camps as they lost their shelters. Hundreds of flood-affected people were seen taking shelter in the relief camps near Old Yamuna Bridge. One of the flood victims said, “We lost our things in water as the floods came suddenly. We are getting food here, but that’s not enough. Still our shelters are submerged in water.” “We are living here for so many years. We just ran with some of the stuff we had when the floods hit the area. The government officials asked us to live in shelter homes. Why should we leave our place,” said another flood victim. After July 13, the water of Yamuna receded gradually after reaching an all-time high of 208.66 meters. However, there have been fluctuations in the water level over the last two-three days.
