Protests to save Neelum-Jhelum Rivers intensify in PoK

May 22, 2019

Muzaffarabad, PoK, MAY 21, 2019:- Breaking fast on a busy roadside during the holy month of Ramazan is an unusual scene in Muzaffarabad city of Pakistan occupied Kashmir. These people have been protesting for almost two months against the government's decision to divert the water of River Jhelum and build hydro-power projects that it built on River Neelum. Braving heat waves during daytime and sudden mercury-dip during nights, these people are not ready to call off their protests until their demands are resolved.
