Tran Thanh attracts attention when he reunites with his 'ex-girlfriend'

Feb 16, 2026

Seoul [South Korea], February 16: On the evening of February 14th, director Tran Thanh's film " Tho Oi" (Oh, Little Rabbit) officially premiered in Hanoi, attracting a host of Vietnamese stars such as singers Thanh Lam, Hoa Minzy, Emily, and Huyen Lizzie ...
"Little Rabbit" is a psychological drama film that explores seemingly peaceful relationships that conceal deep-seated hurt, conflict, and hidden inner struggles. The film adopts a restrained storytelling approach, focusing on the characters' psychological development, placing them in situations where they must confront themselves and the "masks" they wear in modern life.
In his role as director and producer, Tran Thanh shared: "Every time I premiere a film in Hanoi, I feel nervous and elated, because people here are very supportive, and their feelings of love and hate are very clear. This is my fifth consecutive film in the past half-decade, and I hope to please the audience. Luckily, this year, 'Tho Oi' (Oh, Little Rabbit) features actors from both North and South Vietnam, creating lovely cultural exchanges. This is the next addition to Tran Thanh's 'omakase' menu in his decade of filmmaking."
Joining the film's premiere in her hometown of Hanoi, singer Van Mai Huong tearfully expressed her gratitude to director Tran Thanh. She confided, "I still can't believe I've acted in a film. I never thought I'd have an experience with cinema, and this is probably the most unexpected and exciting experience of my life."
After the premiere, Tran Thanh revealed that it was the young actors who surprised him with their abilities. He said: "LyLy is usually quiet because she's introverted, sometimes even negatively introverted, but after I saw the very feminine energy inside her and gave her a difficult scene to try, I was truly convinced. As for Van Mai Huong, she is the most mature among the actors here, with the most experience, so Huong brought her own creative touches to her role as Hai Lan."
